As dedicated health care professionals, we want you to know that we remain as diligent as ever in protecting the health and safety of our patients and staff. Our practice strictly adheres to and exceeds the standards for infection control by wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols and utilizing single-use disposable materials. Every effort we have in place is to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

Symptoms of coronavirus are reported as flu-like, with varying degrees of severity. While we do not know everything about this virus to date, individuals who are elderly and/or immunocompromised appear to be the most at risk of a severe infection. To ensure your health and safety, and the health and safety of everyone at our practice, please reschedule your appointment if you or a member of your household has a cough, fever, and/or flu-like symptoms. In addition, please reschedule your appointment if you have traveled to any areas within the past 14 days that are at high risk for contracting the coronavirus.

We thank you in advance and extend our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation. Together, we can help keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Implants are beneficial not only because they address aesthetic concerns with tooth loss but also because they help maintain bone structure.

When you lose a tooth, the bone where that tooth once was begins to deteriorate and shrink away. This can have a detrimental effect on the surrounding teeth by causing tipping, turning, or caving, eventually creating problems with function and bite, resulting in further tooth loss.

Implants are anchored in the bone to help prevent bone loss. Additionally, implants mimic your natural tooth and provide a stable chewing surface.

Dental Implant Placement & Restoration

The process can take anywhere from 1-12 months and it depends on a patient's overall dental health.

Implants, which consist of two main parts. The implant is made of titanium and is surgically placed in your bone at the location of your missing tooth. Once your bone has time to heal around the implant and stabilize, the crown can be placed over the implant.

A pontic, or artificial tooth, fills in the missing space and is held in place by crowns that are either affixed to the adjacent (abutment) teeth.

Fillings

Invisalign

Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible. Others may not even notice you are wearing the aligners, making the treatment fit with your lifestyle.

Invisalign is a teeth-straightening system that uses a series of clear, plastic aligners to move teeth into their correct position instead of the brackets and wires of traditional braces. When the aligners are in place, they are difficult to see – even from up close – making Invisalign the best aesthetic choice.

Dr. Rahimi will create a three-dimensional treatment plan that maps out the exact movements of your teeth. The Invisalign aligners are then designed to apply the right amount of force to the right place at the right time based on your plan. Dr. Rahimi will be with you every step of the way to monitor your progress and ensure your aligners are achieving the desired outcome.

Some patients do feel temporary discomfort for the first few days of wearing a new set of Invisalign trays. Usually, patients feel pressure on the teeth, which is expected.

Our office provides free consultations for patients interested in Invisalign. During the consultation, we will examine your teeth and gums, discuss your dental goals, and make a recommendation as to whether Invisalign is right for you. Mention our Invisalign promotion when scheduling your appointment.

Unlike braces, Invisalign clear aligners are virtually invisible. You can also remove the aligners to eat, brush and floss, or for special occasions. There are no metal brackets or wires that could cause discomfort in your mouth or break.

Misaligned or crooked teeth can cause many problems for your overall oral health. While misaligned teeth are often thought of as a cosmetic issue, the reality is that it can increase your risk for cavities, TMJ disorder, and periodontal disease.

Laser Dentistry

Root Canals

Bacteria can lay dormant inside a tooth for a period of time before causing any pain. In some cases, by the time a patient has acute pain on the tooth, the bacteria can have infected the tooth to the point where the only option is an extraction. Our goal is to prevent any loss of teeth by being proactive and treating the tooth with a root canal before it is too late. An infection around a tooth is most commonly diagnosed by an x-ray and confirmed with additional tests.

Teeth Whitening

Cosmetic procedures such as veneers and teeth whitening are typically not covered by dental insurance. The best way to find out if cosmetic dentistry is covered under your plan is by contacting your insurance provider, or by asking our office to assist you in navigating your insurance benefits.

Veneers

The length of time your veneers will last will depend on your lifestyle and the way that you care for your teeth. Regular hygiene appointments and exams are the foundation of good dental health. Following Dr. Rahimi's recommendations for the ongoing care of your veneers will help them last and keep your smile looking beautiful.

Dr. Rahimi will prepare your natural tooth for the veneer by gently removing some of the enamel. Once your tooth is prepped, we will apply permanent cement (bonding agent) and make an airtight seal with the veneer and your natural tooth. Some people do feel temporary discomfort for the first few days after the procedure.
